eTwinning Awareness Seminar in Gozo: An Overview

On Friday 20th January 2012, the eTwinning National Support Service organised an eTwinning Awareness Seminar in Gozo.  This seminar was carried out with the collaboration of Mr. Mario Xerri, eTwinning Ambassador (Gozo) and Mr. Saviour Tabone, an eTwinning expert teacher and Head of School at Gozo College, Xewkija Primary School.  The seminar was held at Gozo College, Girls’ Secondary School Computer Labs in Victoria, Gozo.

eTwinning Awareness Seminar in Gozo: Apply Today !

detail-map-of-gozoThe eTwinning National Support Service is organising an eTwinning Seminar specifically for eTwinners who live in Gozo.  This seminar, which will be held on Friday 20th of January 2012 from 15:00-17:00 is targeted at all Educators in Gozo:  from Teachers, LSA’s and Kindergarten Assistants, to members of the SMT in schools and Education Officers based in Gozo.  As the name suggests, there will be a general overview of the eTwinning Action and Desktop Tools available to educators, and also some  examples of eTwinning Projects in practice. Kindergarten Students from Marsascala create an eTwinning Christmas eCard

christmas-balls1Our eTwinning project this year,  called kinder GARDEN,  is a project about the garden during different seasons! Our young students are also learning to love their environment more and are also becoming ”eco explorers”, thanks to the different activities and experiments being carried out. During the month of December, the subject for our project is ”Christmas in our garden”.

Applications for the Winter 2011 - 2012 eLearning Courses are now being received. All educators within Sections and State, Church and Independent schools are encouraged to apply online for the eLearning Courses being offered by the Curriculum Management and eLearning Department. The courses will be held at the eLearning Centre Floriana, week starting Monday 6th February 2012.

Applicants are to apply online by not later than Friday 13th January 2012 at noon.

An eTwinning Christmas Story from Malta…

christmas-tree-nature1024-226431On Tuesday 6th December, a princess from a magical place far above the clouds, visited the kindergarden section of St. Thomas More College, Zejtun Primary School A.  She was impressed by the nicely decorated classrooms, by the very nice and dedicated kindergarden assistants, and by the charming and intelligent students.  These greeted the princess with enthusiasm and together they sang several songs.

Animation for Education Seminars: An Overview

img_0811-150x150The eTwinning National Support Service organised the seminars  “Animation for Education” in December 2011.   Originally only one seminar was scheduled to take place, on Wednesday 7th of December.  However since the date filled up pretty quickly, the Maltese NSS organised a repeat of this same seminar on Wednesday the 14th of December 2011.  Both seminars took place at the eLearning Centre in Floriana between 15:30-17:30 and marked the end of the eTwinning Back to School Campaign in Malta.

eTwinning Back to School Competition: The Winners!

The eTwinning National Support Service is pleased to announce the winners of the eTwinning  Back to School Lottery:

These two projects have each won a digital video camera for the school.
